Bret’s journey started in Belgrade, Montana, where his small-town grit and a love for baseball earned him a full scholarship to Central Alabama. After two years on the field, he traded his cleats for a calculator and discovered a new passion: helping people make sense of their money.
A graduate of Auburn University at Montgomery, Bret has spent over 20 years in public accounting. His experience spans everything from audits to business consulting at top firms, but his real drive has always been working directly with small business owners.
Today, as founder of Bret Pacheco CPA, he combines deep technical expertise with a coach’s mindset, guiding entrepreneurs through the complexities of business and helping them align their finances with the life they want to build. Outside the office, Bret’s Montana roots keep him grounded, whether it’s on a trail, in the community, or simply enjoying the wide-open spaces that shaped his perspective.
Kim Caldwell

Kim brings a unique blend of precision, resourcefulness, and can-do energy to her role. As both a skilled bookkeeper and an operations powerhouse, she keeps projects moving, details organized, and clients supported with a smile. Her superpower is follow-through, whether she’s reconciling accounts, managing workflows, or anticipating the next step.
A graduate of Appalachian State University, Kim was a founding member of a successful insurance agency in Greenville, SC, which grew to serve first responders in 42 states before she moved on. Originally from Connecticut, she spent 25 years in the Carolinas before making Montana her home, where she embraces her love for nature, community, and wide-open adventure.
Outside of work, Kim is a dedicated Ashtanga yoga practitioner, avid reader, and proud mother of four adult children. Her experiences have shaped her resilience and deep appreciation for life’s changing seasons. Whether on the yoga mat, on the trail, or starting a new chapter – in books or in life – Kim brings the same focus and wholehearted commitment to everything she does.


Matt Sand

Matt Sand’s professional journey began at Appalachian State University, where he earned a BSBA in Management and competed on the tennis team. After starting his career in a corporate management program, he chose a different path in 2011 – joining the firm to make a meaningful impact on the lives of small business owners.
At the heart of Matt’s work is a passion for helping others succeed. He takes a “holistic financial management” approach, looking beyond immediate needs to understand each client’s long-term goals. His guidance helps clients maximize cash retention, minimize tax liabilities, and make confident decisions that support future growth. From paying bills to providing high-level financial oversight, Matt adapts services to meet each client’s unique needs.
Outside the office, Matt enjoys life in Asheville with his wife, Kinsay, their daughter, Olive, and their rescue pup, Lexi. A lifelong Chicago Bears fan, he’s also an avid mountain biker and Formula 1 enthusiast – always ready to trade a desk day for a ride on the trails.
Paige Camp

Paige Camp combines her professional expertise with invaluable real-world business experience. Raised in Paola, Kansas, her family’s oilfield production business gave her a hands-on education in managing everything from leases and operations to finances.
Paige earned her Master of Accountancy (MAcc) and now uses those skills to help clients navigate their accounting and tax needs with both accuracy and clarity. When she’s not at the firm, she applies that same business acumen to her own venture: alongside her husband, Caden, she owns and operates -47 Cattle Company in Belgrade, Montana, specializing in cow-calf production.
Paige’s dedication and discipline are further highlighted by her accomplishments as a professional rodeo competitor, including qualifying for the Montana Circuit Finals Rodeo. This work ethic and commitment to detail are evident in everything she does, whether she’s managing numbers for a client or livestock on the ranch.

I didn’t start this firm to shuffle papers or bill clients in six-minute increments. I started it because I believe accounting should be personal, intentional, and transformational.
Back in 2008, after climbing the ranks at large, well-known firms, I saw the truth: clients were treated like line items, and the work was more about profit than people. Numbers were the destination, not the roadmap. Advice was technical but empty, because how can you truly guide someone financially if you don’t know where they’re trying to go?
So I built my own practice to rewrite the rules. My conviction was simple: connect deeply with clients, bring clarity to their finances, and give them strategies that fuel their goals.
Today, my team handles the accounting work with precision and care, while I stay focused on what matters most – helping clients see beyond the numbers. Our fixed monthly fee model allows for real conversations.
